Hi, Bob--Gordy died in April or May of 1973, I think. I remember the day well. Merc and I were working inside at our place (we built the house next to Merciers--now Gould's--on Big Horseshoe, having by chance bought the property a few years earlier when we were up visiting). Josie called up frantic--she'd been in Spooner and came home to find Gordy keeled over in the bedroom. He'd had one heart attack previously. Merc ran across the channel bridge while I drove the Combi around as fast as I could. He'd been "gone" for some time, tho--no chance. I remember having to call Doc H. to tell him. I don't recall how long camp stayed open. We left in 74 and the Merciers ran it for another maybe 10 years or so. Then Scott took over and it lasted a few years. But I don't really recall the specifics. Someone will, I'm sure. Take care and regards to all the Gottliebs Don P.S. My wife Barby still wears the diamond we bought from your uncle Dick for our wedding 33 years ago.
