Adam,

Sounds like a great idea. Would it be at your cabin on A Lake? My cabin on Shell Lake isn't far away. We could also do some fising and water sports there.
Keep in touch. Steve Byrd skibyrd@charter.net

I would attend and bring many of my Cabin 14 mates on the condition the Stude cabin of 1970 receives a full pardon....

Hey Birdie!,

The last water sports I remember being involved in with you was skiing on the lake after post camp when we... well, nuff said I think. Anyway, hope you and yours are well and warm. Drop me a line if you get the notion.

Regards,

Roy

Hey Steve,
How are you and Jane doing? Are you still teaching and Jane practicing medicine? Your twins should be in high school by now and probably 6' 5" each.
Mary and I still go to camp every summer for a week or so. JoJo is a tripping counselor at BT and Tim and his wife Amy are living in Chicago.
Life is good but I am having trouble stopping the aging process.
I look forward to your news.

Rick

I am sure that GUTS and I are in! I haven't seen this many familiar names in a long time! I am doing well - spending most of my time at work, and the rest either fishing or swimming with the fishes (SCUBA). I hope everyone is doing well!

Hey, John!
How's it going? I was just recently checking out some of Danny's band's music and I really like it! They've really got it going on! I'm waiting for them to come back to Minneapolis so I can check them out and say hi. I can still hear you and Keith playing Grateful Dead at the road parties. Great times!

Hope all is well with you and yours!

-Kim

Any date picked yet? I went back last summer for the first time since 1991. Met up with Adam Fried and Jim Mutchnik, stayed at Grief's cabin on Ghost Lake with Kittleson and Luke Fenton, and saw Bob and Myke and Scott. Been way too long. Maybe it makes sense to just pick a weekend and see who shows up.

Kim-Lordy, it's been a looong time! Danny just moved to SF with his wife and 5 kids. Sonia Dada is a great live band and they've received great reviews.

As for Keith and I playing Dead music I suspect it only sounded good because we didn't have access to the real thing for 8 weeks-but you're kind! Hope all is well with you.

I'm in if they still have $.50 beers at the duck and swing.

Sounds like a great idea. Pick a date.

My boy Max took his first steps today on Mothers Day.

Dear Adam,

I have just been put onto this web site by John Wolk. I have read several of the messages and feel very nostalgic for the two summers i spent at camp. Though i am sure the emotional bond for campers is the strongest even being a counsellor was a fantastic priviledge and something i will always remember with a smile. Every summer my mind wonders back to Minong (is the population still 557!!). I think the real attraction and affection held for camp is not just because you all spent your formative years there together but because the philosphy was very simply and in fact rather old fashioned. The lack of material comforts was a tonic and a very good experience even as an adult.

i Hope your reunion goes well. I assume you still spend much of your time at your home there. Have a Lineys for me.

Jim Murphy (87 & 90)

Steve,
It sure has been a long time. I was at camp from 87-90 (Pioneer-Guide) as I'm sure you remember. My counselors were B. Dubnow, Murphy, R. Fogelmen and M. Pollack. I hope everything is well with you. Do you still have your infamous croakies? I have a decent list of visitors to the phorum with E-mail addresses. If any sort of reunion is going to happen, it might be helpful.

Take care,

Brad

Brad,
You are quite right. My apologies. My memory for dates is not the best. Must be my age. I remember that cabin with a smile. Camp was great. i live in Leeds which is the main city in Yorkshire 200 miles north of London.

I am married and have a 10 week old daughter called Isla. i work as a Barrister (Trial attorney) in personal injury work. On days like this i would be most happy to be looking out onto horseshoe lake letting my hangover recede. i suspect you knew little of the counsellors' drinking due to our consummate professionalism.

Tell me your news. It is funny to think there now is little age difference in real terms but when i think of you i remember you aged 10/11 or so. Do you still keep in contact with any other campers i am likely to remember.

Take care

Jim
