Anyone have an official "packing list" to post?

(blankets, jacket, flashlight, etc.)

Or an unofficial "packing list"? (Either the one thing you wish you had your first year at camp, or the one thing you always had in later years).

Creativity counts on that one; left-handed smokebender has already been mentioned on this site.

How could I get along without my Lawry's seasoning salt for cookout and trips? They also forgot red, blue, green and brown bandanas on the official packing list. Let's not forget a good sleeping bag and pad (therma rest). You have to pick a lot of ferns to get comfortable! ....and a waterproof duffel while you're at it. Remember the flourescent orange ones? Lastly, I can still feel the frigid water and the wrath of the stinging nettles on my legs and torso from the Sand and Clam trout streams; I couldn't imagine trout fishing without waders.

Cool-aid (or Wylers if you prefer), zip lock bags (this summer, I'm going to individually wrap all of my clothes before they go in the waterproof duffle), Muskol (sp?), Ron Sklare's Co-op cup, my map that includes all of the compass courses for various landmarks on Get Lost (the A-frame house is 38 degrees), a good pair of river shoes (in the pre aqua socks days), a type II personal floatation device (that's on the packing list, but I just love to say it), Tommy David's bow and arrow, that leather wristband that I started last summer but still needs to be tanned, and my two sided ping pong paddle for maximum spin. That's all I can think of for now.

how about those "check-off" letters so you can eat dinner? You know the ones that say "Dear Mom and Dad. Camp is a) fine b) not fine c)get me out of here.

Do today's campers have to send an e-mail before they are allowed to eat?
