Well, we had our little reunion Friday, 10/24/2003 in Los Angeles and I think I speak for all attendees -

Bill Engel - Nashville, TN
Jay Jablanow
Bob Harris - Palo Alto, CA
Al Kapstrom
Randy Held
Michael Mallace - Phoenix, AZ
Richard Liberman
Keith Liberman - St. Louis, MO
Frank Demyan
Sheri Demyan
Glenn Adilman
Jeff Kane - San Francisco, CA

when I say that all of us had a great time. The food and drink were excellent and the atmosphere was incredibly festive. It was great to be with Frank two days before his 79th birthday. Hopefully we can work something out so more of us will be together to celebrate his 80th next year. I posted some pictures to the .msn site. Please enjoy (http://groups.msn.com/camphorseshoeminongwi54859/10242003westcoastreunion.msnw)

Jeff Kane is the keeper of some camp memorabilia/pictures that Frank brought for our enjoyment. Jeff has promised to scan a lot of the pics and post them for our enjoyment. There is a lot of stuff for him to go through but I'm sure Jeff will be up to the task!!

All attendees received "Super Grubby" T-shirts that are exact replicas of the shirts we used to get at camp. Thanks go to Michael Mallace for a good job well done.

A few thoughts about the evening:

Frank is in good health and, as you can see in the pics, looks great. It was nice to meet his daughter Sheri. I've been fortunate to have a number of conversations with Sheri the last few months and can say that the apple did not fall far from the tree. Obviously, Frank was as good a father as he was a camp administrator.

There was a lot of symmetry in the fact that five people traveled for this event. After all, Frank traveled from CA to Camp for three decades.

It was really great to see that Bill Engel, Jay Jablanow, Keith Liberman and Bob Harris have kept in touch and remained such close friends all these years. They were a great group then and are still a great group now.

We all enjoyed meeting Al Kapstrom. He's from an earlier generation and still seemed to treasure his memories as much as the rest of us.

Mostly, it was just great being surrounded by old friends that have a mutual understanding of how special camp was to each other.

HAIL TO THE FOREST!!!!!!!!!
