My first thought was Ross Parrot (french pronunciation) but that's sort of 80s. You could go with Parrot Hilton. That's more up to date, and she's better looking than Ross. I like the name Howard, or Jim, or even Harv, for a pet but where's the cultural relevance? Hip Hop is always the best place to find cultural relevance. You could go with 50 Scent. That's very marine oriented. So many scents don't you know. Yep, I'm going to have to go with 50 Scent. the smell idea works, the cultural significance works, and the idea that the mascot, your leader, can smell all these scents, can smell the way to land, to safety, what have you-- that's a positive thing. PLUS-- When the rapper 50 Cent chose his name he said it signified change, as in changing his life (drug dealer to musician.) This is a good symbolism. Certainly Lynn and Dennis are making a change. You guys have never made this voyage before. You've moved on from your previous careers (drug dealing?) It signifies change and it signifies lots of fishy smells and fresh ocean breeze smells and... where does one wash one's dirty, smelly socks on a boat? Welcome to the world 50 Scent! love, ez

Thanks to Ezra for the suggestions! I hope more friends will go directly on the blog and tell us what you think. We did hear from our Australian friends who think we should name the mascot "Cap'n Flint of course. You look like a bunch of pirates in your blog pix, so purloining the name of Long John Silver's parrot seems appropriate." So the choices thus far are Parrot Hilton, 50 Scent, and Cap'n Flint! Notice the parrot does have a microphone and does speak!
