I've heard some interesting news! First of all, Hi to everyone (except Oscar Loynaz....just kidding Oscar). Hope all is well & look forward to a get-together.
So, this is not confirmed. I heard that some people (I kind of know) asked Josie (maybe Josie) to use (or buy?) the Horseshoe name. To my understanding, it is to resurrect a camp in Wisconsin that may be another victim of hardships. I believe it to be camp Agawak or Kawaga near Rhinelander (?). What's going on here? Who's got info? Gould ?
If, my sources are correct about all of this...... I have mixed feelings. Obviously there is no substitue for Minong (or its' Northwoods location). On the other hand, the name could live on for our kids. Most important is the directive. What type of camp is it to be. I would hope a wilderness type, outdoors camp.
In truth, I was hoping for someone we know to take the initiative to reopen Horseshoe! I hope it's not too late...

p.s. Deano is Happily married now living in Northbrook, IL... Baby on the way! Working hard. Still fishing. Hoping my old Woodsmen campers are well (as adults now)!
Fond memory = Merc & Mike coming to my house when I was about 11 yrs. old doing some recruiting. I remember the reel to reel video projector & the awesome films of camp! To me, Merc was like "The Fonz" when he came by (cool guy - always)!
