In 1986 when I was in cabin 14 the prank was the Big Horse. Our cabin was turned into Little Horseshoe Lake (water and sand included) with the Big Horse in the middle (the proportion to actual Little Horseshoe was slightly off). We had to dissmantle the Big Horse. For those who don't remember the Big Horse was the monstrosity that took fishing excusions onto Little Horseshoe. Its design must have been Russian, as there were no creature comforts. However, it was an enormous water vessel.

In dismantling the boat we had to remove the wooden structure. This was painstaking and dangerous. I myself stepped on a rusty nail. It went through my shoe like a knife cutting butter. However, the most difficult task was removing the watercraft's floatation system. This system was comprised of an endless supply of styrofoam blocks measuring 36 1/2" long by 24 1/2" wide by 9 1/2" high. The half inches were due to swelling from being waterlogged. Each of the approximately fifty blocks weighed around 200 lbs. (and I'm being conservative).

Before this point in my life I had no idea of how the Big Horse stayed afloat. I had previously believed its floating ability came from the boating cushions collected out of CPF at the end of each summer. I imagined these were strung together by twine from the tripping shed using half hitch tent knots and were attached to the bottom of the Big Horse by shelf hooks. Either that or a secret from the Russian engineers. I was sorely and sadley mistaken.

I hope that one of my cabinmates from cabin 14 will expand on my recallection.
