Charlie Robbins...There's a name I associate with a huge southern drawl, a grin and a slap on the back! For some reason Donnie Cohen must have lost his senses and sent me on the most disastrous Canadian in the histiory of Camp. Berman (can't remember his fist name) was trip counselor and I was his # 2. His family was in the funereal clothing business (better margins 'cause you only use half the suit) and his demeanor reflected it. We caught 0 fish fin 10 days, my brother Danny was a complete pain in the ass and it rained a bunch.
We pulled out of the lake to wait for the old green bus with the canoe trailer (vs. the execution truck-anyone remember that?) and up it rolls with Charlie at the wheel. I grabbed him, jumped on the bus and we drove to the nearest beer leaving the 14'ers to cool their heels for an hour. God love Charlie Robbins! Anyone know where he is now?
