I appreciate your views and the manner in which you express them (except for your anonymity), but this is really not the appropriate forum to express them. We live in a society of constant change, and that change obviously affects people differently. In this case, Jordan has the right to open his own camp, and he has the right to do what he thinks is necessary to make it work economically. I hope that he does not only cannibalize his former camp, but it shouldn't surprise anyone that his connections to campers and counselors there might lead to some defections. So, while the effects upon Kawaga may justify our compassion, our sentiments won't really change anything. Don't think for a minute that former Horseshoe campers would condemn any actions by Jordan unless they were illegal. I suggest that Kawaga redouble its recruiting efforts. There is no reason to think that Kawaga can't rebound if it is as great a place as you say (I have no knowledge). It can come back next year, even if it suffers this year. Successful businesses learn that the pie is not fixed - they expand the market. Hopefully, both can be strong institutions.
