Opening Weekend on Horseshoe 2009: It was interesting talking to other fisherman on the lake that reported they had caught a couple of Crappie on the lake. Here's hoping everyone will catch and release them until a decent stock is built up. As usual the Bass were all around but not biting much and the Snake Northern Pike were around. Last time I talked with the DNR they suggested any Northern’s and Bass of keeper size be kept to help let the Pan Fish have a chance to grow but to release any decent sized one’s to help keep good breeder stock. Hope everyone has a great summer and will help Horseshoe remain a healthy beautiful lake.
