I stumbled onto this website a few months ago and I have thoroughly enjoyed the trips down memory lane. Seeing names from the past come to life("old-timers" like Don Cohen, Al Kapstrom, Bob Gottlieb; "contemporaries" such as Mitch Wittenberg, Bob Moss, John Pritzker, Michael Mallace; "newer-timers" such as Adam Marton, Bobby Mitchell, Michael and Steve Motew(does Steve still have a mouth full of braces?) has been wonderful. The messages all recall a simpler time. Horseshoe was not a place I went for the summer, rather it was a part of me to which I returned each summer.
Keith Liberman and I took our kids up to Horseshoe several years ago right after Josie had destroyed it. It was hard to envision where each building had previously stood and relics were few(although I found a small piece of the tennis courts that I use as a paperweight). Our disgust and disappointment at the destruction of the Camp was only partially assuaged by a prank we pulled(no details forthcoming; Keith is a lawyer and has insisted that we divulge no specifics).
I now live in the Bay Area(specifically Redwood City) and work as a Urologist. I would enjoy reconnecting with old friends and Horseshoe alumni. My e-mail address is: robgharris@hotmail.com (Yes, people out here call me Rob not Bob which I have grown to prefer).
Regards to all,
Rob
