Eric Long.......I remember him. Even after all these years and hundreds of hours of counseling I still find myself having nightmares about those five years I spent with Eric during those 14 days he was at camp. I've pondered for years about what I'd done to Merc to be placed with him. I mean heck, I would have apologized after the first few minutes if I knew what I'd done. Who I'm I kidding I would've apologized even if I hadn't done it, just to get away from him. Whatever it was Bob I'm sorry, honest. As if being with Eric wasn't bad enough we were placed in the smallest cabin at camp, the 1/2 acre on the junior side, which I had to rename to The Twilight Zone. Of course reflecting back we could have been sharing the Wild Life Lodge and it still would have been to small. After the first three days it wasn't that bad. Eric lost all of his whistles under mysterious circumstances (It was the Chief and Frank never told me to take them). so he couldn't practice the I.W.S. for Archary. (International Whistle System) for those of you who don't know what I.W.S. stands for. Next to Eric I haven't found one person who knew what I.W.S. is. After watching him shoot a round at archary the targets had nothing to worry about, but the people at the tennis courts had better watch out. Then there were the nights he was found wondering around in the woods with his pillow. Thanks a bunch for bringing him back Harry. Sometimes I'd find him out front of the cabin singing to the bears. I have to admit it worked, I didn't see a single bear the whole time he was at camp. Well I better sign off for now its time for my medication and shock treatment. Til next time.
