Some additional camp memories:
1. Frank "D" swigging Pepto Bismal like it was water on a hot day.
2. Camper Counselor Day elections dressing up as your favorite counselor.
3. Events of the Super Relay: Water Boil, Get Lost, Rock Dive, Blowing the horn.
4. Laughing at the counselor assigned to quadrant duty during free period.
5. Kenny Ogden & the Shell Lake Lakers Football.
6. Bill Engel as a fourteener wearing penny loafers to the flag and clicking his heals when Frank brought camp to attention.
7. "H" flicking watermellon seeds at campers sitting on the Horseshoe Benches.
8. Merc reading at council Horseshoe with his reading glasses, green jacket, shorts & football coaching shoes shifting his eyes up without lifting his head reading "A little less of you and me..." while the sun and trees reflected on the surface of the lake.
9. Chicago camp reunions at the then Pick-Congress Hotel with Shev organizing the treasure hunt.
10. Pre-camp, freezing while installing the turn-boards in swimming while "H" chalked the A-field in 5 minutes before spending the rest of the morning at the "Eye"
11. Carnival day, ripping kids off auctioning empty bags believed containing large sums of candy.
12. Swim meet negative cheers.
13. Peeing blue as a fourteener after I believe Doc Greene put something in our Sunday afternoon chicken.
14. "Drop Trou"

17. Realization that rest period was for the counselors, not the campers.
18. The first friday night at counsel with the counselor/cabin 14 water fight.
19. Frank Demyan refering to a counselor he was not particularily fond of as: "That Bastard"
20. Indoor trackmeets.
21. GH initiation, dragging the tree, eating with wooden utensils, watering a transplanted twig all summer to help fight erosion. Kill one tree, save another all for $1,000.
Like Mitch, I could go on. This site has revived so many great thoughts. It's a shame our children don't have the opportunity to share in our treasured past. We need to utilize the opportunity of this site to set in motion plans for a reunion, and explore any option to resurrect Horseshoe.
