That trip on the Bruhl was the best! If you remember, Mr. Lurie, ONE canoe did not tip---that was Joel's and mine. We made it down the Mays Ledges, one by one, BACKWARDS. I would like to say that it was skill, but all those involved know that it was sheer luck. In the bow, I gave a broad "sweep" to get around a big rock, and at the very same moment, my genious brother incorporated a wicked "J-stroke" on the wrong side of the boat. I remember being horrified as we spun around---we did 3 360's---but bounced off of everything in our path. If I recall correctly, Scotty was there videotaping the whole thing. I'd love to see that footage. Great to hear from you, Lurie. Where are you these days?
