I believe I was on that trip. Pioneer A/B that year had a bunch of enthusiastic kids. We must have made a stink because they let us go down the Totogatic in ROWBOATS. We missed the pickup point for some reason and continued down the river. On any multiple day trip that ever went out, we always packed extra. On this particular trip it paid off bigtime. I wouldn't have enjoyed being a counselor on that trip, looking back now its an adventure. Gordy sent an airplane out and we were spotted on the river, help was sent to the next pickup point and we were rescued. Ron Roman, Bruce Korr, Chuck Frank, Scott Morrison, John Lewenauer and myself were in the cabin. I went to my first yearbook and for some reason that was the only year I wrote down all of my cabinmates. I know their are other people who remember this trip. Alot of people were amazed at Pioneer A/B going on a rivertrip in rowboats.
