Mark, I am glad to see that you took the SATs and have a large vocabulary. Since you are arguing with children, your wordchoice is probably not too suitable...If you are going to lecture on ignorance, maybe you should become more informed in this situation yourself. The most important aspect of Kawaga, which we hail as being completey unique from any other camp (which it has been for the past 89 years) are our indian traditions and ceremonies. One aspect of these traditions that is important to us is the giving of sachem (honorary indian) names to accomplished campers. Although I don't really want to go into the intricacies of sachem with you right now, all you need to know is that Jordan has promised campers and counselors that thier sachem names will be fully transferable if these people switch to Horseshoe. I do not blame campers and counselors in their choice to attend Horseshoe. I do not blame Jordan for opening the camp. But it is dispicable for Jordan and his staff to claim to be opening Horseshoe with Horseshoe traditions when the most sacred aspect of Kawaga will be incorporated into thier program. It is that simple of an argument. The new Horseshoe is relying more on Kawaga traditions than Horseshoe traditions. I would be rather dissapointed if I was a Horseshoe alumn and saw how different my camp has become. Mark, please understand, on another note, that these people that have posted do not fully represent the entire Kawaga establishment. However, they do represent frustrated and infuriated campers and counselors who have seen thier ex-director, someone who they had trusted for years, attempt to dismantle thier camp by luring away friends, siblings, mentors and idols. If I was a 12-year old boy whose best friends and favorite counselors decided to attend Horseshoe, I would be very frustrated and angry too. I think you can understand where they are coming from. The annonimity of freedom of the internet has probably made some people more bold in thier comments than they usually would be-- please take that into account. Kawaga molds its boys into good, honest people, these posts should not sway you on that account one way or they other. Mark, sorry for my sarcasm at the beginning of this post
