While I was not a participant, I remember the murder mystery, which I believe was 1979. That is probably still the coolest hunt that I can recall. Who were the masters? We've talked about 1980 and I think 1978 was Bill Engle and Joel Sachs.
I am straining on this one, but Joel Lewis may also recall, I think the (roll them bones) Trivial Pursuit masters were Scott and David Grief. I could be completely wrong on this one.
For our hunt in 1988, the theme was baseball. After each "see us" clue, we would do a few innings of play-by-play of the Horseshoe 9 vs. the lineup submitted by the Green or Brown team. The treasure was based on a code created by keeping score. Of course, both teams had a forced p-hint because, despite the masters' prompting, neither team started scoring the game until after the first few innings.
